How to read this list

Two kinds of zero

Most entries have an id ending in :free: the free variant of a model that also has a paid variant, subject to the free request limits. A few are listed at zero price without the suffix, such as preview models, which can gain a price at any time.

The daily ceiling is shared

The limit of 50 requests a day (1,000 after buying 10 credits) counts every free model together. Trying five models with ten prompts each already uses the day.

The context column is the model’s, not a promise

Context window and maximum output come from the API entry of each model. A free variant can be slower or queue behind paid traffic; this list does not measure that.

Expect the list to move

Free variants are withdrawn without notice. A scheduled job reads the API once a day and logs every model that enters or leaves the list on the changes page. Keep a fallback model in your configuration.
